This episode reaffirms my love for the 90s and 80s mahou shojo era. Where a character or characters could be torn down to their lowest point but still find the strength to carry on even facing the most dire of consequences and their lowest point wasn’t a gimick for cheap drama or to hammer in that this person is suffering in order for the auidence to get a reaction the shows just did them naturally unlike nanoha, madoka, and prisma illya where no insight into any of the characters are shown and them being awesome physicality wise matters the most.
I think I like this rendition of the death busters arc more than the original anime.
Also, in regards to the comment on the swinging glaive thing
Silent wall requires her to spin that shit like a propellor
This was one of the best episodes of Season III/Sailor Moon Crystal, but they shouldn’t have done the cliffhanger at the end, as to me, it made the final episode feel very anti-climactic.
This season, while not as great as the original S anime, is still a good modern day Sailor Moon anime and is two steps forward from seasons 1 and 2.
